The Stockings Thread (now with shoes as well!)

P.S. Anabel, I normally wear the lace stockings as an insulating layer under slacks in the winter! and both pairs of stockings are from H&M! (which in Copenhagen means cheapo!!!)

Ok. I will look more closely at what is available "cheapo" that might mimic yours and unleash it at work as an experiment. Maybe I will wean from black tights for work.

Yup. And horrible things, they are. Absolutely no ventilation, so after an hour sitting next to a warm indoor pool your feet get all hot and sweaty. Eww.

Big Grin I know them from clean rooms ... it is sooo much worse if you run with them over a sticky floor.
The parents have to use them in the fall and winter in my sons daycare, to avoid muddy floors. I did experience a discrete fingerpointing to my feet from another parent, when I was all the way out at the street again with my son - still wearing those blue things...
I actually resisted buying a great pair of stockings that were on sale last week.
I knew that they would be great for a photo, but couldn't imagine a dress that would go with them.

But don't worry, I still have plenty of stockings in my drawer at home that I haven't taken photos of yet!
The fluevog.com website has put a bunch of shoes on sale.

(Now that my order has been confirmed, I feel comfortable letting all of you know about it)

The e-mail promised me delivery in "about two weeks". So, maybe I'll have to go shopping for stockings.

The follow-up. I orderd back on the 15th. The first pair has arrived (the 27th), with the second pair yet to be shipped. Too bad it's not like pizza.

How did your order go, FP?

Now, I'm going to go hunt for the right stockings. Nope, not the hand-knit ones. Too darn hot for wooly stuff.

Thanks to your warning, I knew better than to start any email correspondance with them, and phoned the Chicago store as soon as I found out they would be shipping them. Shoes arrived a couple of days later. Unfortunately one of the pairs was the wrong color - but we ended up just keeping them, as it worked better with my husband's wardrobe than the color we originally ordered.

Still on dialup
Mirrorgirl's post reminded me that this thread needs bumping.

I went to the states and all I got are these stupid shoes that I will never wear because I'm struggling to see the difference between stilettos and Chinese foot-binding and this whole scenario goes against the feminist raging within me.

But there they are. This is what happens when a pound is worth so many dollah!
