The Stockings Thread (now with shoes as well!)

I danced with someone dressed almost identically to the picture on the right tonight. You weren't in Manchester were you FP?

I agree with Martin, but if forced to pick then the middle one - but only with that cardigan. It helps frame the shorts and make the pink and red fit in rather than stand out.

(btw, you're really got that ankle flirting pose down to perfection. Very nice)
Glittery boots are unusual.

Around 80% of the ladies I dance with wear glittery or sparkly dance shoes, and around half the rest just wear bright red ones. They all change into drab boots or shoes to go home.

I find this fascinating. Is glitteriness not good when not partying? Or is partying not good without glitter?

It seems that glitter at parties and formal affairs is convention. Glitter is, or used to be, part of formal wear. I'm thinking 20's sequined dresses. And going further back, it was shiny silk and radiant jewels.
Now-a-days one can choose an approach -- you can stick with convention or bend the rule a little. I wouldn't wear a full-on sequined garment to go shopping, but an accent of glitter is okay, and fun.

P.S. Partying is never good without glitter.
