Darn - - my link to one of Andy Goldsworthy's floating arrangements doesn't seem to be working at the moment. He's the first artist that comes to mind currently; I only heard about him a couple of years ago, but there's a movie called Rivers and Tides about his work that's truly hypnotic.

The Sketchbooks of Picasso was a show I really liked, back in the late 80's. From whimsical sketches of bullfights (if those can be construed as whimsical) to unbelievably affecting life-sketches, it was just incredible. One of the few times that I bought 'the book' from a show...Rivers and Tides..crap.
